Allocations

PORTSMOUTH , NH | The New Hampshire Film Festival is excited to announce an allocation of not one, but two grant awards.

First, for the second year in a row the NHFF has been awarded a generous allocation from The Seacoast Rotary Club.  Continuing the tradition of advancing the quality and innovation of independent filmmaking, the assistance of $750 awarded by The Seacoast Rotary Club, will go toward the three educational components during the four-day festival. These three components, Industry Panels, Film Representative Q&A’s and the Young Filmmakers Workshop, enhance the festival as well as empower local filmmakers and young adults with a  passion for the arts. NHFF believes these these components will not only strengthen the festival but the community as a whole.

In addition to the Seacoast Rotary allocation, the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation has also awarded NHFF with a grant for a technical advancement project. With the ever-prevalent advancement of the digital medium the NHFF is at a critical point for growth and change. Now more than ever, submissions and exhibition copies are submitted in digital format only, increasing the strain on the technical execution of the festival. With the generous assistance of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation this challenge has become a manageable one. With a grant of $2,580 NHFF is now able to pursue sustainable options to fulfill the increased need of advanced technology. In addition, this grant is expected to reduce the over all technical costs as well as increase staff productivity.

Thanks to the assistance of these two generous organizations the NHFF is able to enhance the platform on which independent artists share their work.
