Its official, plans are well underway for this year’s event slated for October 11th-14th 2007 throughout fabulous downtown Portsmouth and the Call for Entries is open. Submissions are yet again rolling in from around the globe and we expect another innovative, world class program sure to inspire and delight.

Last year’s program attracted films from major festivals worldwide. Additionally some of our alums made it all the way. Yes that’s right to the Academy! The Trials of Darryl Hunt, our 2006 Grand Jury Winner, while they didn’t get the final nomination they did however make the short list of documentary nominated films for consideration. Binta and the Great Idea was officially nominated in the short category. Live Free or Die, our 2006 opening night feature, was released by Thinkfilm and The Toll, our best animation went on to screen in competition at South by Southwest. It was a very exciting year for last year’s filmmakers and we can’t wait to see what this year brings. So stay tuned as we announce our selections this summer.
